• Fortified provides complete NFPA-13D fire sprinkler design and installation for custom residences and speculative homes. Working from the architectural documents, our licensed team evaluates the home’s construction, water supply, ceiling conditions, and jurisdictional requirements before developing the system.
• Sprinkler locations and piping are coordinated with lighting, air devices, structure, millwork, and reflected ceiling plans so the system becomes part of the architecture rather than a late addition. We prepare the required calculations and permit documents, manage review through approval, and remain responsive to the architect, builder, and other trades throughout construction.
• Installation is organized around the project schedule and carried through testing, final inspection, certification, and closeout documentation. Fortified provides one accountable team from initial design through completion.

• Retrofitting a completed residence requires careful planning around conditions that are already fixed. Fortified begins with an on-site assessment of the home’s construction, accessible ceiling and wall cavities, water supply, architectural details, and existing finishes. From that information, we determine the least disruptive piping routes and coordinate concealed sprinklers with lighting, air devices, millwork, and other visible elements.
• Once engaged, we prepare the NFPA-13D system design and manage permitting through approval. Before installation begins, the owner receives a clear scope identifying the work areas, anticipated access points, schedule, and finish restoration. Where the home’s configuration permits, much of the system can be installed through attic and service spaces with little effect on completed interiors.
• Installation, testing, certification, and documentation are managed by one accountable team. Any affected finishes are restored as part of the work, leaving the home with permanent, automatic fire protection that does not feel like an addition.

• Fortified inspects and tests existing residential fire sprinkler systems for homeowners, buyers, and insurance review. We examine the system’s visible components, sprinkler placement, valves, water supply, and available plans, permits, certifications, and service records.
• Functional testing is performed as appropriate to confirm system operation and establish its current condition. This service is particularly valuable before purchasing a home, when changing insurers, or when existing documentation is incomplete.
• Each inspection concludes with clear written documentation of the system tested, the procedures performed, and the results observed. Any recommended service or further evaluation is identified separately.

• Residential fire sprinkler systems are intentionally simple and dependable, requiring little intervention once properly installed. Fortified remains available throughout the life of the system for periodic testing, updated documentation, ownership transitions, and coordination with future construction.
• When renovations alter ceilings, walls, room layouts, lighting, or mechanical systems, we review the existing sprinkler coverage and make any necessary system modifications. Required design revisions, permitting, installation, testing, and certification are handled as one coordinated service.
• Fortified maintains continuity from the original installation forward, giving the owner a knowledgeable point of contact whenever the home or its documentation changes.

For new construction, we review the architectural plans and project requirements. For existing homes, we visit the property to understand its construction, finishes, and installation conditions. We then provide a clear proposal defining the anticipated scope and fees. 

Once engaged, we prepare the system design, coordinate sprinkler placement and routing, complete the required calculations and drawings, and manage permitting through approval. 

Installation is carefully planned and coordinated from start to finish, with close attention to construction sequencing and the home around us. Our licensed professionals deliver the work on schedule, maintain an organized site, and communicate clearly throughout. Each installation is completed with precision.

Upon completion, we test and certify the system, coordinate all required final inspections, and provide complete documentation for the owner and insurer. We review the system’s operation with the owner and remain available for continued service and future modifications.
